Antique Cauldon China England Rosebud Pattern Bowls Platter Teapot Covered Dish

Description: 7 pieces of china- 2 serving bowls, platter, covered dish, casserole, teapot with lid. Up for Sale is a set of Caudlon LTD Tableware. They were made in England between 1905- 1920. Pattern name unknown -I have not found the name of the pattern or the shape of these beautiful dishes. It's possible that both or one originated prior to 1905 and was carried over to the cauldron LTD brand . The dishes have three different makers marks. 9-10 pieces have the three line Mark. The first line says EST 1774.... (See photos ) The rest of the dishes have the cauldron LTD stamped on them and the number 7212 are handwritten with England underneath. Some in Red, others in black. All three of these maker marks are known to be from the 1905 to the 1920 time period. CONDITION: excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Remember these are > 100 yrs old. I see no crazing. Overall they are bright & in amazing shape. Please look at all photos as part of description, and condition. SOME HISTORY ON CAULDON LTD: Cauldon LtdChina was an earthenware manufacturer at Cauldon Place Works, Shelton (Hanley), Stoke-on-Trent In 1904. Previously it had been Brown-Westhead Moore & Co. It was incorporated as a Limited company and was renamed to Cauldon (Brown-Westhead Moore & Co.) Ltd. The company used the shortened name 'Cauldon Ltd' on their ware. Cauldon Ltd suffered from financial difficulties, and the company was placed in receivership in 1920. It was brought out of administration by Harold Robinson and it became Cauldon Potteries Ltd thru 1962. Cauldon china was manufactured between 1904 and 1920 at Cauldon place works Shelton Stoke on Trent. Cauldon Potteries Limited subsequently operated up to 1962. Royal Cauldon was adopted from 1930 onwards as a brand. Caudlon became part of Wedgewood in the 1970's.
