Description: French cross cast iron fragment of Jesus with a crown of thorns, fabric tied at his waist, arms and hands stretched to reach the cross. This fragment would have been prominently featured on the front of a large cemetery cross in France that broke apart over the decades. Piece measures 4 and 3/4 inches wide and 6 and one half inches long. With long-term exposure to the elements, surface rust is apparent. Overall a beautiful, spiritual sculpture that has graced my home for years. Please see all photos, reverse torso is hollow to accommodate attachment to the larger cross.
