Description: Antique cast iron candy store balance scale with brass scoop in old old paint, patina & condition. This is an excellent example in great working condition. The scale has old black paint with some yellow & red decoration on the scale base. The scale also has a brass plate that adjusts to 1 pound and the original hanging weight ball. There is an old repair to the brass weight bar. This candy scale is purported to have come from the Planters Peanut store on the Atlantic City boardwalk many years ago. The scale without the tin scoop is about 13" x 6 1/2" x 7" high. The brass scoop is 11" x 4" x 3" deep. This scale is a very nice example, you will not be disappointed.
