Description: This listing is for a gorgeous vintage, possibly antique, Capodimonte gold gilt pitcher and underplate. The pitcher has a nude woman handle. Both pieces have heavy gold trim and relief cherubs. The pitcher is 14" tall and can also be used as a vase. There is a small chip on the gold at the rim. See last picture where the rim dips down.The under plate measures 13" across. It has some gold wear as seen in the pictures, to be expected due to age. Aside from the two minor rather obscure chips, there is no other damage, repairs or crazing. Inside the handle, under the glaze, are some dots of black paint (presumably from the detail on the cherubs and the signature). Same dot of black paint on the inside of the pitcher about 1" below the dip on the side.
