The locket is done in a simple oval form, with an interlocking monogram of CMA on the front. The interior of the locket has a bezel with glass on one side and a bezel without glass on the other. Behind the glass is plaited brown hair. The other side has a small photograph. This piece is in great condition. The hinge of the locket is in good shape and the locket snaps shut securely. The bezels on the inside are in good shape, with no breaks in the glass. There are no breaks and no repairs. The chain is stamped and guaranteed 14k, with a maker's mark of C A Co. We have tested the locket with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18 karat gold. The chain is about 16 inches long. The locket is about 1 1/8 inches long, including the bail/loop at the top.
