Description: This is a beautiful antique mantel clock made by Ansonia in 1882. The clock is made of cast iron and brass and has a black finish. It is a mechanical clock with an 8-day movement and features a pendulum and moving parts. The clock is wind-up and has an analog display. It was manufactured in the United States during the late 19th century and is an original piece. It has the unique picture button at the bottom with a man, woman and a tree with a white background, this clock chimes when the hands are moved to the hour. This clock has no key but I will attempt to get one to be included with the clock.I'm only assuming that this clock works as it's supposed to but I can't fully guarantee that it will. The clock has a few minor age flaws, the tip at the top has a minor chip,it has a few scratches and ,the wood on the bottom was cracked and repaired with glue i think. It measures 13 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" wide and 4" inches thick. This great clock would make a welcome addition to any antique clock collection. Please view all of the photos for the best description of the general condition. Thank you very much and Happy Bidding!
