Description: Antique Baccarat Toujours Fidele D'orsay France Empty Perfume Bottle with Bulldog Stoper, Circa 1908-1912 CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Antique empty Baccarat France perfume bottle - Toujours Fidele D'orsay, France. No chips, no scratches. The frosted glass French Bulldog as a stopper is in great condition without any issues. On the side is embossed Toujours Fidele D'orsay. Only I can notice a cloudiness inside the bottle. I have had this parfum bottle in that condition for years and never attempted to clean it inside. ABOUT Toujours Fidele D'orsay: Appreciate the humor. Toujours Fidèle means "ever faithful." The name suggests romance. But the "ever faithful" object of the title is man's best friend, a dog, a French bulldog or, perhaps, a pug. The bottle is referred to as "pillow shaped " — but you might call it a pillow for a dog or a doggie bed. Humor again. HISTORY REMARKS: The design of the bottle has been attributed to Baccarat (1912) and to Cristalleries de Nancy (1909 and 1912) by various sources. There appears to also have been a 1928 reissue by Baccarat with molded label, frosted stopper, and gray patina. Some examples exist signed by Baccarat, others signed by Nancy. Still, others are unsigned. PLEASE CHECK ALL PICTURES FOR MORE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING. SHIPPED BY USPS PRIORITY MAIL WITHIN USA ONLY. I INSURED EACH SIPPMENT OVER OF $100 VALUE.
