Description: Vintage Artist Portable Paint Box with adjustable Easel & palette, metal bottle, easel clip.The box has been lightly cleaned and waxed, it has signs of wear and use. The labels on the underside have been preserved and shows it's interesting history. The box was owned by 'Bannerman' and was transported with it's owner to Las Palmas (Majorca) on the ship 'Highland Brigade' of the shipping line 'Royal Mail Lines' in the 1950's. https://www.timetableimages.com/maritime/images/rml.htm This is solid wood box with dovetail joints and brass fittings and an internal adjustable easel.Also included is a metal tray compartment and metal bottle with a brass screw lid, an easel clip and wood palette (covered in paint).The box lid can be held up in 3 positions with a brass bar or lay flat. Whilst photographing the box the leather handle broke sadly. Box measures: 15.5" x 11.5" x 3.4" / 40cm x 29cm x 8.5cm
