Description: Check out this antique clock that I found in an estate loaded with top quality antiques. I did about five minutes of research to find the names of what was on the clock face and I think it’s French. What I like about it is it looks like something that would be in a vineyard… It looks so French. Antique French. I think it’s very lovely. The face of what you are seeing… The brass frame looking where it’s all ornate… That’s pretty thin material. Very thin and flimsy a little bit but as long as it’s not disturbed, it looks wonderful. It was kind of challenging to make sure it packs up correctly, but…. I know how I got it… it is safe for worldwide shipping. It’s floating on pillows and nothing is going near the face. It’s already perfectly packed and accurate. But it was a challenge and I met the challenge by packing with care. So that part… The brass front… It is so ornate. Like I said it’s so French. It looks like something in a French kitchen from a movie. I think it’s totally cool looking. I get clocks from time to time.. My grandfather was a collector of clocks and I sold many clocks, but this one is totally unique and different than I’ve ever sold. So that’s why I think it’s pretty cool. I am definitely not an expert and I don’t know how anything on the inside works regarding the mechanism and obviously this is untested as is mechanism. I took photographs of the mechanism. . take a look at the mechanism in the photographs. In my opinion, they look totally interesting. There’s some pieces in there that have visual design to them, which makes it look pretty cool. But it looks like a pretty simple mechanism… But I don’t know. Just count on it to need maintenance because again I’m not an expert and I don’t want you disappointed so as is mechanism. Kind of strange but I’m going to look up the name. Guesdon Derenne right after I list this clock… If you know anything about this name, I would appreciate filling me in on where I could get some information. Or please feel free to let me know what you think. If you’re a Clock expert and you want to share a great information… I’m all ears… The more I know… The more I will bring you interesting pieces. So again… Don’t worry about me shipping this… I already have it close to packed yet there’s a little more to go regarding softness and protection, but I wanted to get the basic packing so I could get accurate shipping for you. This is especially important for worldwide shipping just in case it goes back to France… I’m shipping this FedEx because they have the cheapest price. and it’s accurate. I had the perfect shipping box. I also combine shipping so take a look at how much room I could add another item in this box from my store so you might wanna look at my store… Take a look at that cute Ansonia clock… That’s a nice one. It’ll fit right in… But no worries about the room… I’m cutting this box down perfectly to keep the shipping cost correct. Nice and light and tight and accurate and safe. This will pack up beautifully. I’ll finish by taking my time getting it right. so let’s talk bottom line real quick… Mechanism as it is as pictured. Sold by a non-expert in clocks… Exactly as described in used condition. Somewhat flimsy frame around the front of the clock that’s brass but nice and lovely and that’s the way it was made… It’s like pressed brass… That’s how I could describe it. But it’s really lovely. It’s French. That’s the way they made it and it looks nice. It’s a lovely patina also. It’s kind of dark patina and light patina which really looks pretty. So basically as is Clock. Untested as found… Most likely needs maintenance. Sold by a non-expert. So don’t forget… Any questions or comments please feel free to reach out and if you know anything about this clock and you want to share your expertise… I’m interested. Whatever you wanna tell me. I’m a knowledge magnet. Thanks, John.
