Description: Antique American Yellowware Relief Molded Scrolls Brown & Green Glazed Bowl 9" x 4.25" h dia c.1880. Round with relief molded foliated vertical scrolls around the exterior. Brown & green dripped glaze over yellowware stone body. The bowl is slightly warped showing a diameter of about 9" by 9 3/8" and rocks slightly on its base. The addition of the green is uncommon. American pieces have noticeably less distinct reliefs than similar English wares & are usually unmarked, which is characteristic American production of this type in the 1860-90 era.
