Antique (almost 160 years) rare Currier & Ives Lithograph of Pres. Lincoln & fam

Description: On offer here is an original Currier & Ives Lithograph print dating to 1865 which is considered fairly rare.Condition is not the greatest, but one has to consider that it is almost 160 years old & that the main oval section of the print is very clearly visible in the detail of this scene itself! The print depicts President Abraham Lincoln, his son Tad & his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. The President is reading from the Bible....probably sharing a family devotion from the book of Isaiah, in the Old Testament. The last TWO pics are an enlargement of the fine print at the bottom end of the oval-shaped picture, which attests to the date and place of printing, namely 1865 in the Southern District of New York. (see pics 6 & 7)These ORIGINAL lithograph prints by C & I are consider fairly rare....and this one has been HUGELY reduced in price, commensurate with it's condition. The lithograph is unframed.....just the original lithograph on it's original printed paper, and that is how it will be shipped to you with careful packaging and firm unbendable hardened cardboard covers on either side, to ensure preservation and avoid any shipping damage.
