Description: This is an antique Yoruba tribally made and used hand forged iron metal bar with dangling hand forged iron bells which was used as a dance rattle for ceremonies and also as trade currency which was collected from Nigeria, Africa. This Yoruba currency bell bar rattle is very, very old and the iron bar has some etching on the top surface. This antique Yoruba currency rattle measures 13 5/8 inches long and weighs 1 pound and 11 ounces. Good antique rustic tribally made and used condition with a very rusty patina and the metal being a bit deteriorated with a few bells having missing metal. This specimen is very intriguing and highly desirable and would make a fine addition to any African culture collector's treasure trove.
