Description: This is for an antique primitive decorative advertising Walter Baker & Co. Ltd wooden shipping box with hinged top lid, two divider boards in interior & box corner joinery. Looks to have been a repurposed box with dividers added at later time. It measures approximately 10 3/4 inches length by 5" height by 9 1/2" wide. Has stenciling on all four sides. One side reads "MADE BY WALTER BAKER & CO. LTD. DORCHESTER MASS". Another side "GOLD MEDAL AWARDED WALTER BAKER & CO. AT PARIS EXPOSITION 1900". Another side reads "BAKER'S BREAKFAST COCOA". Last side reads " WALTER BAKER & CO. LTD. ESTABLISHED 1780 DORCHESTER, MASS. REGISTERED TRADE MARK". It is in antique condition with expected wear & use marks. It is in good antique condition with expected wear from honest use. Does have scattered gray paint speckles & top side of lid has some old paint smears. Please see all pictures for more details.
