Description: We offer for your consideration these very rare replacement pieces of antique 1920s English Adams transferware. This pattern is named "Chinese Mongolia" the pieces are a white body stoneware with the cobalt blue transfer pattern that features the "Fenghuang" surrounded by a floral pattern. The borders are acanthus leaves with flowers, thistles, and pineapple shapes. This is a very rare Adams pattern. The Egg cups measure approximately 3 3/4 in. tall. The top rim measures approximately 2 1/2 in. in diameter. The base measures approximately 2 in. in diameter. Condition- The cups are in very good condition. They do show signs of light use, but that is to be expected after 100 years. One cup has a flea bite at the base, another has a hairline crack at the top rim (see picture) The add-on piece may be a lidded sugar jar, or a very small biscuit jar. It has the same pattern and carries the pattern number, which can be cross referenced to another of our listings, it shows the makers mark and the same numbers. This jar looks to be missing a handle, and the lid has a crank located at the inside flange of the lid. (see pictures) If you are a collector of antique Adams transferware, and have this pattern in your collection, what a nice set of pieces to fill out your collection.
