Antique 30s 40s Art Deco Machine Age Industrial LARGE Pendant Chandelier Light

Description: Crafted in the 1930s - 40s era this very large commercial Westinghouse silver aluminum saucer & white milk glass pendant light measures a whopping 18 1/2” in diameter! This particular Art Deco styling is from the machine age time frame and is absolutely stunning. Used in commercial/industrial applications this style machine age light refracts most the light upwards and the lower globe has more of a glowing accenting effect. PLEASE NOTE- if you need most the light in a downward position/direction this particular fixture will not work particularly well as it is meant more for directional lighting upwards/outward. The wiring has been updated and the light works perfectly. The large size is perfect for making a statement in any space that needs a bold machine aged focal centerpiece. This beautiful original light has survived close to a century and is a true gem for collectors and Art Deco / machine age enthusiasts alike. CONDITION- The milk glass globe is actually a two piece and is bolted together with a decorative finial (finial was replaced new), also there is some slight chipping in areas around the fitter rim on the lower glass (pictured) the inner glass is in nice antique condition. The original ceiling cap is over nice. The pendant pipe shines good yet but does have scrapes and scratches throughout. The center metal bulb housing has lots of aging and patina from decades of bulb heat long and cooling. The large aluminum saucer housing has typical scrapes and scratching and some dark marks from almost a century of use, there is a few slight tings as well but overall considering the age it’s about what you expect, no major damage present. The original ceramic bulb socket is nice and can hold a very large ended commercial sized bulb but also has a removable adapter that converts the socket down to a regular standard bulb. Wires have been updated and the light is ready for immediate installation.
