Description: Up for auction is an antique signed quill style engrossing bird flourish penmanship sampler signed with initials recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area. Almost seems graphite and thin ink mixed media. Contemporary frame with acids to the matting so best guess 1970-1980s matting. Stainings and yellowing to original paper. Yellowing and acid bleeding on matting. Backing should be swapped out as they didn't use much acid free backing at that time. Image opening ~7.75x8". Overall frame size ~ 16.25x16.25 so glass might be 16" square. Expertly done. Uncommon find. Ships for less out of frame, contact us before paying. Best of luck in bidding.
