Antique 1926 Elto Model J Light Rudder Twin Outboard Motor (Later Evinrude OMC)

Description: This great original example came out of the William Poulman private collection. A founding member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club for over 40 years. He not only a collector but also an outboard mechanic and operator of these early machines. This was a working motor and recently gone over with minimum cleaning and polishing to enhance it's beautiful Industrial Art look. This is a great highly sought after collector model. Many of these are painted or restored to an image not reflective of the original manufacturing. They were unpainted Aluminum lower units with nickel-ed upper sections and brass accents. I chose Not to re-nickel since much of the original is in excellent condition for its age. This will come with a new old stock decal for the tank. Depending on what one wishes ..ie re-nickel or paint the fuel tank, I have left the new decal un-attached. The Last picture is of an Outboard on Display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Note that it is not overly restored but shows all its character accumulated with age. 100% of proceeds to benefit a Veteran
