Description: Primitive Antique 1925 Finlay Fish Storage Co. "Lake Erie Fish" Wood crate Port Stanley Ontario Canada Marked on 2 sides of Crate. Marked "Contents and Container Product of Canada Finlay Fish and Storage Co. Producers & Packers Lake Erie Fish Port Staney Ont. CAnada." The last picture is of the "Finglo" the boat this crate was used on. Dimensions: 31"x16"x9.5"H. THIS ITEM IS IN Solid CONDITION. There are a couple of fractured slats. Please see photos. Wooden fishtug built 1925 at Port Stanley, Ont. for the Finlay Fish and Storage Company Ltd., Port Stanley. 77.1 x 20.8 x 8.0, Gross 83, Net 29. Acquired by the Toronto Drydock Company Ltd. 1939. Soon after arriving at Toronto she was badly damaged by fire. Rebuilt as harbour tug, 84.0 x 20.8 x 8.0, Gross 67, Net 33. Remained in harbour service for the Toronto Towing and Salvage Company Ltd. until about 1961. Dismantled at the company yard. Hull scuttled in Lake Ontario in deep water. Please!
