Description: DATING TO THE 1920’S FASHIONED OF AN IVORY SILK SATIN AND IS LONG SLEEVE WITH PIPING ON NECKLINE AND CUFFS AS WELL AS THE DROP WAIST. THE SKIRTING MEETS THE TOP WITH FINE RUCHING FULLY AROUND WITH PLEAT GATHERS AT EACH SIDE WAIST AND THE FRONT IS IN A LARGE CHEMICAL LACE APPLIQUE WITH A BEAUTIFUL FLORAL DIAMOND EMBROIDERED CENTER. THE SKIRTING IS VERY FULL, SO MUCH SO THAT I BELIEVE THAT PANNIERS COULD BE ADDED AT THE SIDES TO MAKE IT A ROBE DE STYLE, NOTE THE HEM. THE INNER TOP IS LINED IN A SILK DE CHINE SLIP AND SNAP CLOSURE AT THE SIDE. CONDITION: ESTATE FRESH AND SOLD AS IT WAS FOUND. THERE IS AGE COLOR SEEN TO THE LACE APPLIQUE WITH A VERY DARK STAIN ON THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE LACE. A TWO INCH LINE OF THE SKIRTING IN THE CENTER FRONT HAS THE STITCHING COMING FREE AND NEEDS TO BE TACKED BACK INTO PLACE. THE SKIRTING HAS NUMEROUS BLACK SCUFF STAINS SEEN BOTH ON THE FRONT AND REAR AND EVEN HEAVIER SCUFF STAINING SEEN ALL ALONG THE INNER HEM. SIMILAR BUT VERY FAINT SCUFF STAINS ARE SEEN ON THE SLEEVES WITH TWO LIGHT ONES ON THE REAR WITH LIGHT SOOT SOILING ON THE HIGH REAR BACK CENTER. SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED.
