Description: Antique 1920's Metal Egg Tin 2 Doz Eggs Carrier Mailing Shipping Crate. This would look terrific as part of a rustic farmhouse display or collection. This would also be perfect to display and store hand blown easter eggs or other delicate decor items in. Comes with original instruction insert and price sheet. These were used numerous times for mailing so there are name and address labels and residue on the those sheets. Also includes the 4 molded inserts that held 6 eggs each and ancient tissue paper. Please see the photos where I have included 3 screenshots with information on the interesting history of these metal egg mailing boxes. This one has definitely been used and has the wear and tear to show for it. It is stamped "2 DOZ EGGS" on one long side, "EGGS" on the two short ends and "ORIGINAL" on the other long side. This has an interesting slide bolt closure that could use some wd40 but I will leave any adjustments to the new owner.
