K. stands for Porzellanfabrik Koenigszelt. Porzellanfabrik is German for porcelain factory. Koenigszelt is the town near the factorys location, in Silesia in northeastern Germany. In 1860 an entrepreneur Silber built a ceramics factory called Porzellanfabrik Silber and Co., and in 1886 the name changed to Porzellanfabrik Koenigszelt, or P.K.
