Description: Here we have a very unique oldie. It is anAntique PAT. April 13, 1909 SOAPURN Rochester Germicide Co. Soap Sterilization Dispenser. Rochester, N.Y. U.S.A.It mounts on a wall with a patina brass/bronze (?) support. The original key and 3 screws are included. The key and screws are rusty. It is pretty amazing that the key is actually available. The bottom push button works freely. The glass is pretty heavy duty (thick). Could show a slight residue in the interior when held up to the light. Evidence of tarnish wear. There is a round type chip in the glass above the word "Rochester." It looks like there is a crack or is it a deep scratch (?) in the interior of the glass located at the bottom which does not appear to penetrate through to the outside and there is evidence of what I think are scratches in the glass at the rim area. The tin cover works well and locks with the key well. I filled it with water and there was a slight drip out of the spout. I also added Seventh Generation liquid soap and let it sit overnight. There was a tiny amount that dripped from the spout. About the size of a dime. Overall it could use a good polish. It is in pretty exquisite shape for its vintage age and makes a great conversation piece due to such great visual appeal and nostalgia. There are signs of use and age, as found and not restored. Sold "as is." Please see photos to best determine the overall condition.
