Description: Got Francophile love? Rep it when wearing this 'Bonaparte and the Imperial Eagle' necklace... This tiny almost coin-like pendant is repoussé style and features a profile of Napoleon Bonaparte on one side and the French Imperial Eagle on the reverse (yes, it's reversible!). This image was created by the French sculpturist Edmond Becker, and similar examples found online are from circa 1905 (and sell for upwards of $120). The chain is not original to the pendant, and I believe the spring ring clasp closure is also not original to the chain. This piece was marked as gold-filled from the high-end shop I purchased it from, but it has not been tested, nor cleaned. Overall condition is good, with some discoloration/patina and wear to the repoussé image. I believe the signature was once readable, but has since worn away -please review photographs for full details. Measurements: - 8 inch chain length- 1.5 cm width- 5 gram total necklace weight Feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries! ♥,Miss Master *Proud member of the Vintage Fashion Guild*
