Description: For sale is a superb plate made by either Arras or Tournai in the 18th century . Made of soft paste porcelain it does have the usual green translucency common to these two makers. It is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement in the center two two flowers and three bugs along the nicely shaped rim. It is a nicely done piece! The plate is in good condition with a some wear to the glaze common to soft paste porcelain but since the blue is under glaze it displays perfectly. Some minor manufacturing flaws normal to early porcelain but none that take away from the piece. The piece is marked underneath with a blue mark that could be a script hd but it's hard to make out plus and incised number 16 as shown.
