Description: For sale is a fun octagonal plate made by Bow around 1765. It is hand painted with under glaze blue Chinoiserie or Asian inspired scenes on white ground with the rest of the plate around the white panels having a blue ground color. Nice shape to the plate that is very typical of Bow porcelain. The piece is in great condition with some flaws from the making such as extra porcelain dimples near the rim and some brown color along the edge and the foot ring which is very typical for this maker. Some stacking and use wear but it displays wonderfully! The plate is marked underneath with the chop marks style mark meant to imitate Chinese porcelain marks. The piece is 1 inch tall and 7.875 inches in diameter. 18th century English England If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Worcester , Derby and so on.
