Description: Antique 18th century blacksmith forged andirons with stationary handwheel tops, loose hanging rings and four clips for supporting iron crossbars. The legs have curlicues. These andirons are so old and fired so many times that they are pitted and have visible grain lines. The fire dogs are actually burnt off. They still stand up but are tilted back which actually looks cool that way. Of course now they won't support logs. 16-1/2" tall X 9" wide each. Another Bygone Antiques great find!
