The setting is lovely and the ring looks great on the hand. This ring is a true antique, not reproduction. The amethyst is a long octagonal cut measuring about 15 x 9 mm (about 6.50 ct) and it's set in a dense floral filigree mounting. The filigree is in great shape. There's a part of the triple claw prong missing on each side (but stone is secure) and there's a chip to one corner of the amethyst. Mentioning this for honesty and accuracy, still a super nice ring overall! The face measures 3/4" by 3/8". The ring is hallmarked 18k with maker's mark M.G. or M.O. It weighs 3.6 grams, is a size 3.25 and is in fair vintage condition (see notes above.)Sold as is with slight damage disclosed.
