Book had been presented as a Sunday school Christmas gift in 1902, and is so inscribed front & rear in pencil, and the front end paper color illustration has been repaired with tape that is now yellowed. Other condition issues may be readily seen in the photos. Inside pages, however, are clean, printed on good, heavy stock, and show only minor hand soiling. Book is odor-free. This remains a great book of stories to interest both children and adults in the Bible, and it carries a warm and sincere authenticity. Moreover, each of the 38 stories is only one page in length, opposite all but one of which is an illustration--a tidy and cool approach to present the material safely within the attention span of almost everyone (see photos).
