Description: Up for auction an antique AMISH hand made "1900's" or earlier..LOG CABIN BARN RAISING QUILT.Made in long stitched material for logs ...centered with turkey red material for chimneys.The logs from light to dark .... represent morning to dusk...the red square ....the chimney , the heart of the home.I believe the fabric is from the 1900's a variety of solid wool challis.The backing a cotton ? plaid , Batting ?Please view photos as there are some very , very minor holes from age...unbelievable for it's age !!Also the hand stitched binding has come off on half of the quilt!Can be easily reattached. I'm leaving that up to the new owner.This highly collectable quilt has been in the original owners family since her Fathers travels for treasures in the early 1940's ...which took him to travel through Amish country.I'm describing the quilt as accurately as possible ...to the best of my ability!Please enjoy viewing the pictures of this truly gorgeous antique quilt !Being sold "AS IS"I have not cleaned or laundered.Thank you for looking!
