The iron is good quality and shows some pitting and wear commensurate with age but is still quite solid. The handle is made of bone and is carved with some designs The piece is in very good condition for its age, with wear commensurate of the age. The iron has no major spots of rust but does have pitting and shows wear that is consistent with its age. It is clear this piece has been well preserved and cared for.
