Description: Primitive antique dough or chopping bowl, turned from a wooden burl; out of round and heavy for the size, with imperfections on the outside typical of burls. The inside has lots of turnings and a beveled rim. This bowl measures from 11 3/4" on up to 13" across x 4" tall. It appears that at some point years ago it was sealed to protect it. It shows typical signs of use including chop marks and staining from use, and the outside bottom has a scorch mark from sitting too close to a stove. See photos, all sides shown. Thanks for looking!
