It allows you to add or remove the cover easily in a minute. This covers are made for LK chokes, MP output transformers, AN / AS series power transformers and standard toroidal transformers. They were fabricated with metal spinning technique from 20 gauge steel. The whole cover is powder coat in semi-gloss black. There is a nylon insulator to isolate the center screw with the metal case which will break the electrical short between cover and main chassis (assuming the chassis is metal). This kit includes a cover, center screw, nut, washer, nylon insulator, decorated nut, and insulated washer.
