Anselmo Solar Gonzalez classical guitar (1963)

Description: This is an incredibly sweet sounding guitar---very vintage, woody, and rich, with good volume and easy playability. Great Brazilian rosewood in the back and sides, very straight-grained for Brazilian, spruce top. 660mm scale, 53mm nut, string height 3.0 at the 12th on the bass and 2.75 on the treble. Hardshell case. It has some crack repairs--two behind the bridge in the top, and two in the back--see photos. They have been very well-repaired and the instrument is perfectly stable, and the price reduced significantly. I have another guitar by this great builder also listed (a 1969 flamenco blanca). As I said in that listing, I think Gonzalez may be one of the most underrated historical builders from Madrid, even though he famously worked for Santos Hernandez for a short time. His guitars do seem to have raised in value in recent years, and you would rarely find one in this price range. I specialize in guitars in an affordable price range ($1500--$3000) and am always happy to find guitars whose quality far surpasses their price because of crack repairs (which rarely seem to diminish the quality for the player). These may not be for the collector, but they are great values for the performer. As I said in the other listing, if someone is interested in making simultaneous offers for the matched pair of Anselmo guitars I am selling, I would accept a lower offer in a package deal that way. The last photo above is of the two guitars together. I intend to add a video to the listing soon. I have been selling guitars on Ebay for 24 years without a single negative or neutral review. Even though the listing says "no returns" I am happy to accept a return if the buyer pays shipping within 14 days, for whatever reason. Ebay seems to require 30 days or not at all, so I have chosen the latter, but am committed to satisfaction.
