Tapestries of Time is the tenth album by respected pianist and new age composer Ann Sweeten. Thematically, each of the album's 11 instrumental pieces relate to or are inspired in some way by the concept of time. Some are more direct, like "Hourglass" and the wistful title cut, while others are tied personally to the composer's story and history, like "CAVU" (an aviation term meaning "Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited") which is dedicated to her father, a Navy pilot in WWII. Performed almost entirely on solo piano, there are only a few additional embellishments like violin and oboe scattered among the tracks. Fans of Sweeten's elegant playing style and warm, thoughtful compositions won't be disappointed as she turns in another lovely addition to her extensive catalog. ~ Timothy Monger About Movie Mars All items are Brand New.
