Description: Andres Lementino Large Rearing White Marble Horse with Sunface Tabletop Zuni Fetish This tabletop horse fetish was carved by Zuni Native American carver Andres Lementino. It is carved from white marble, and inlaid on the shoulder of the horse is a large, beautiful sunface. Andres says this is a male sunface, shown by the rectangular turquoise and pipestone inlays on the left side of the sunface. The sun’s rays are inlaid turquoise and pipestone outlined in black jet, with two spikes of gold-lip MOP. Turquoise, mother-of-pearl, black jet and apple coral inlays make the face itself. The mane is carved in a wonderful spiky style, sweeping outward looking like feather plumes. Hairs in the mane and tail are etched, as well as hooves on all four feet. Inlaid turquoise eyes complete this wonderful fetish. The horse is rearing up and stands on a base carved from black marble. This is a large fetish, standing six inches tall and weighing over 12 ounces.
