Description: Ancient Mayan Amulet. The Ancient Mayans valued jade above all others. Craftsmen learned how to work the hard stone without metal tools. This amulet measures 1 ½” high by 1” wide and weighs .90 of an oz. It appears to represent a king builder, as were many Mayan rulers. It was collected by my grandmother when she wintered in Chichicastenango, an Indian village in Guatemala in the1950’s. It could be hundreds of years old. Shipping price includes insurance.
