Description: The picture is an example to how it looks, it a custom made device ONE radio will control BOTH RCA jacks By default, this box will provide CLOSED contacts when not activated The contacts will OPEN when activated (when you key this from your radios T/R keying circuit)You can tell us if you want us to build this as: BOTH RCA jacks CLOSE on transmit (they would be OPEN on receive) or ONE RCA jack OPENS and ONE RCA jack CLOSES on transmit (this option would allow you to KEY your amplifier on the jack that closes and deactivate your receive antenna power on the jack that OPENS) How do you specify if you want something different from default If you do not specify, this will come with BOTH RCA jacks OPEN on transmit (closed on Receive)How might you use this? One example: Let's say you want to power something (like a powered receive antenna) and all you want to do is remove power from it when you transmit. Put the positive voltage from your power supply to one terminal of one RCA jack and the active antenna that requires this power to the other terminal. This means the CENTER of one RCA jack is ONE terminal and the OUTSIDE of the SAME RCA jack is the other terminal. The negative of your power supply to the receive antenna is NOT switched and would be your common connection. DO NOT put positive AND negative of your power supply to the RCA jack!, this will short your power supply! When the RBI-12-custom is not activated (your radio on receive), the center and outside of the RCA jack is closed (shorted center to outside). When activated (when you key this from your radios' amplifier keying circuit) the center and outside of the RCA jack will no longer be connected, therefore the circuit is now OPEN.Our box will draw <5 MA from your radio and will key any TWO separate amplifiers.
