Description: Offering a 10.5" AMPEX 499 super Grand Master Gold Recording reel and tape. These are 1" tape X 2,500 lineal foot reels They are in excellent condition and have always been stored in a climate controlled environment All five (5) reels have been in my possession over 10 years. Each bears the AMPEX S/N 499-574111 The 499 tape series is NOT subject to the sticky shred issue There are five (5) boxes available. Two (2) of the reels have the AMPEX label silk-screened onto the reel Two (2) of the reels have marker pen writing on top surface. This writing may be removable with acetone or isopropyl alcohol All five (5) of the reels are in excellent condition. Each box is in excellent shape. Each outside edge of the boxes has marker pen writing. Buyer can chose which reels Buyer wishes to purchase. Appear to only be used for one recording pass. Only one (1) box has some writing with marker pen on the back side. These are in excellent condition in all respects. They will be extremely well packed to maintain their excellent condition. They will be shipped by USPS low cost Media Mail postage. We can ship by any other means if required.
