Description: Pictured is a small miniature blue & white (off-white) spongeware bean pot available for sale. The whimsy was produced by the American Toy & Marble Company in Akron, Ohio & dates from 1895 - 1903. The stoneware pot is embossed "BOSTON BAKED BEANS" below the neck. It measures 1 3/4" in height and 1 5/8" in base diameter. It's in excellent condition with two short stress hairlines, one on the interior rim, the other on the exterior. No damage, no repairs. A great addition to your "smalls" collection of early spongeware.....
