Description: Vintage Samantha Parkington doll is marked on the back of the neck with "(c) Pleasant Company" she has a tan, soft body, with white strings at the back of the neck. No body tags, ear marks, or stars. She was almost certainly manufactured in the 1990's. Very good vintage 90's condition. Doll sits up on her own, though her joints are slightly loose. Body is clean. Hair is a bit dull, likely from being stored in braids, however it does not look like it has ever been cut. Samantha's Buster Brown school dress is marked "made in China" for Pleasant Company and dated 1993. Hair is tied with a replacement satin/poly black ribbon. Black tights have some elastic loss at the waist. black patent Mary janes were made in China for American Girl. Included in this lot are two original, white cover Samantha books.
