Description: Kaya is an American Girl. She features a medium dark complexion, black straight hair, and brown eyes that open and close. Kaya is a Native American character from the Pacific Northwest Nez Perce tribe in 1764. She is the only American Girl doll with a closed-mouth smile. Nez Perce children do not share a name-each unique only to them. The American Girl company created Kaya’aton’my’ (ky-YAAH-Aton-my) which means “she who arranges rocks”. Included in this sale you will notice that Kaya is wearing her complete meet outfit including meet accessories. In addition she has her mini doll with papoose board. Kaya is made of vinyl, cloth, and plastic materials and comes with removable clothes, a soft body, and eyes that open and close. This Kaya doll is a later edition as evidenced by her box and Velcro belt. Kaya’s hair is beautiful and appears to have the original braids. She has a few fly away hairs and I have not attempted to restyle them. The mini doll also has some fly aways above the beads and I did rebrand her hair below them. She does not have the leather straps to braid ends. Please review photos for box condition at it was ripped at the base and has been taped to avoid further damage.
