Description: American Classical Sideboard in the Manner of Meeks Gothic taste. Circa 1840. This fine Period sideboard is made of highly figured crotch mahogany and solid mahogany with a pine interior. Extra nice backsplash, with book-matched crotch mahogany and molded cap rail sit on a single board top, with a heavy curved applied edge, over a two large drawers that are opened using hidden hand holds. Three nicely sized cabinets with fine crotch mahogany doors with set in panels and Gothic arches over a curved bottom rail and hairy paw feet finish this cabinet to perfection. Two of the cabinets retain their original shaped pined shelves. Minor shrinkage cracks in the single board top. Professionally restored and polished. Original locks. The previous owner has had a polished glass top custom made for the server which will be included. 66" wide x 24" deep x 52" tall overall, 42" to top surface. LOCAL PICK-UP AVAILABLE AT NO COST!
