Description: This beautiful commemorative panel designed by PCS Stamps & Coins showcases the special quarters issued in July 2010 that honor the state of California and the State Park that represents it best. The 9" X 10" Panel contains 2 uncirculated California State Quarters with the unique California design.One Uncirculated quarter from the Denver mintOne Uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia mint The front of the panel explains the image stamped upon the coins, in this case: the vertical wall of "El Capitan" in Yosemite National Park in California, relates facts about the park, its natural features, its history, and when it was set aside and federally protected for public use. At the bottom of the panel is a large photograph showing the over 3,000 ft tall granite monolith of "El Capitan" overlooking the Merced River in Yosemite National Park, California. The back side of the panel gives more general information about the state of California, its National Forests, Rivers, Wild Life Refuges, Historical Sites, and Museums. The top of the panel shows an artists drawings of the State Bird: California valley quail, and the State Flower: Golden Poppy. There is also a colorful image of the relief map of California showing the parks, mountains and rivers with Yosemite National Park in Bold lettering. Also on the back of the panel are 2 Uncirculated U. S. Postage Stamps encased in protective plastic.one 42 cent stamp displaying the California flag which was issued June 14, 2008.one 15 cent stamp, issued October 9, 1978, shows the image of a giant sequoia which grows in central California. The panel comes with a protective plastic sheath which can be fitted into a PCS Stamps & Coins padded ring binder (not included!) The item is in excellent brand new condition, no bends, folds, or discolorations of any kind. I still have several other America The Beautiful State Quarter panels in this collection.
