Description: This VIBRANT cotton crossed tulips quilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted, with an unusual double diamond border and tumbling block elements in the background. Hand embroidered on the back is the following: "Sarah Jane Seaton, Meta, MO, 1941." It measures 74" X 96" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework and applique and in grid and ripple designs in the background, all at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin. High quality solid cotton materials are used throughout.
