There are some spine ticks that can be pressed out, however....the major flaw that stops if from higher then mid grade is that there is a spine split at the top. The spine split goes through few pages. I've taken some pictures of the inside to show where the spine split is. The spine split is about an inch. The staples and everything is still intact.
