Hardcover with the original red cloth covered boards with some typical mottling and discolouration .All page block edges are in full gilt. The gilt titles and decorative medallions are all still vibrant, although with some rubbing. The original tissue guard is still present. The spine was rebacked with the original cloth. (See pictures attached for condition s specifics) The book has one early dated inscription to the half title page from 'Xmas 1871' In this book, Alice returns to Wonderland by stepping through a mirror, playing out her journey like a game of chess.
