Description: This Alberta Wildlife Certificate stamp from 1965, 2nd year that these stamps were issued, featuring an alpine scene in green background serves as a licence for an Alberta resident to hunt a White-tailed Deer. This $3 stamp, is in F/VF condition and centering, pen cancelled by the hunter who inserted the certificate number and tag number on the face of the stamp as required by provincial regulations. Van Dam's Canadian Revenue Stamp Catalogue (2022 edition) lists this as #AW18, but as explained by Rubec & Stover, it is indistinguishable from the 1967 stamp #AW50. The stamp has full perfs all around, p. 12.5. Rubec and Stover (2015) list this as AH14.
