They are very similar, except that the BH210 is solid brass which allows it to be polished. It accepts an Aladdin210 or 215 Shade which are widely available both new and used. The Model 23 version is no longer available and sold for $479. However, Aladdin does still make a similar version with a MaxBrite burner, whch sells for about $406 bt may not be of the same quality. See the screen shots. Condition The lamp is complete and ready to use except needs a wick or flame spreader. Burner operates properly. The brass needs polishing but has no dents and will polish up nicely to “like new” appearance. Background & History For more information, see the authoritative TeriAnn's Guide to Aladdin. Here is what she says: “The model 23 deluxe hanging frame can be easily distinguished from the model 5 & 6 versions by use of a magnet. The model 23 version is made entirely out of brass and unlike the model 5 and early model 6 steel hangers is non-magnetic. The quick definitive feature is the bottom hoop attachment to the harp. It uses the same attachment as the late model 6 bottom hoop and spherical nuts instead of hex nuts. This lamp has a has an interesting history and is based on the Aladdin model 5 hanging lamp. It was designed by Ken Moore of Ken Moore Designs in 1978 and manufactured by Sherwood Ltd in England. There was only a single production run of 500 of these lamps sold by Ken before he retired from the business. In 1991 Ken sold the tooling to Tom Teeter of The American Lamp Supply. 500 were manufactured and sold by The American Lamp Supply company, catalog 115R (oil) and E115R Aladdin electric burner). 500 was the minimum quantity order that Sherwood would accept. Tom made a second order of 500 and for unknown reasons could not afford to pay for the order. Tom "gave" the second order along with ownership of the tooling to Aladdin who took on the cost of the second order in 1995. The American lamp Supply company continued to sell the first order of 500.
