Description: Offered is the vintage book "Agrarian Arcadia-Anglo-Virginian Planters of Wilkes County, Georgia in the 1850s", written by Charles Danforth Saggus and published in Washington, Georgia by the Mary Willis Library. It has a 1996 copyright date and appears to be a first edition. There are numerous black and white photos and illustrations by Hank Panowich. The original dust jacket is included. This is apparently a rare, possibly unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The book is approx. 11 1/4" x 8 3/4" and contains 297 pages. It is in excellent, like-new condition and is probably "new old stock". The gray hard cover has no wear, the gold words and images on the front and spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. I see no writing in the book. The glossy dust jacket has no tears, holes or any other damage or wear, but does have a slight wrinkle to the surface. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
