Description: Advance 7840 Vintage 1950's Dress Richard Cole Designer Size 14 Bust 32 Cut Partially cut and used pattern. All pieces have been verified and are overall in good and usable condition. A, C, and E are cut and used. A has wrinkles. C had been shortened via folding and pinned into place. The pins have been removed. Pieces B, D, F, G, H, K, and J are uncut, but the majority have extra, non-factory folding. Original instructions are included and have some yellowing due to age. Envelope has only a little wear. Pattern became fluffed up during the checking and photographing process. In order to prevent damage to the envelope, not all pieces were put back inside it, but are included in the protective Ziploc bag. "Pencil-slim sheath dress with empire-line. No waist seam...high midriff seam in front. Long lean look emphasized by deep V-neckline...center front lapped and stitched to hem, giving tuck effect...crossed midriff bands. Body and sleeve in one, with underarm gusset fitting. Zipper under center front tuck. Soft neckline drape in contrast.” [Patterns come from a smoke free home and were inherited from my grandmother-in-law who sewed for her family. I sew a great deal, but cannot possibly make use of all that I was given.
